EXHIBIT A
EASTSIDE INTERCEPTOR PHASE II & LH. 3S RELIEF SEWER EXTENSION
SCOPE OF SERVICES
1. Preliminary Design Phase
A. Perfonn site visits to the future lift station and proposed pipeline alignment locations to
obtain first-hand knowledge of these sites.
B. Obtain the following information from the City:
(1) The CCN boundary
(2) The City limits and ETJ boundaries
(3) The wastewater service area boundary
(4) City's 1995 Wastewater Master Plan (TC&B has already acquired a copy)
(5) Previous master plan project known as the Cottonwood Creek Interceptor
(TC&B has already acquired a copy)
(6) Proposed development of landowners around the Centerpoint Road and
Cottonwood Creek area.
(7) Electronic fIle of two-foot contour maps along the proposed pipeline alignment
(8) Utility maps and/or record drawings of existing utilities in the project area.
C. Define the proposed service areas, develop wastewater flow contributions based on the
City's 1995 Wastewater Master Plan, and define service periods for the following
alternatives:
(1) Alternative No.1 - Development in accordance with the City's 1995
Wastewater Master Plan.
(2) Alternative No.2 - Development in accordance with the City's 1995
Wastewater Master Plan with the addition of the previous master plan project
known as the Cottonwood Creek Interceptor.
D. Meet with the City to conflI1Il the development plans, service areas, service periods,
and design parameters to be used in the development of the wastewater flow
contributions for each alternative previously defined.
E. Perfonn preliminary utility research to identify potential conflicts and assignments for
proposed facilities.
F. Upon acceptance of the development plans, service areas, service periods, and design
parameters, defme the minimum and maximum flow rates through the wastewater lines,
size the lines based on the abandonment of the existing lift station and force main, and
prepare a preliminary engineer's estimate of probable construction cost for each
alternative. Separate preliminary cost estimates will be provided for the gravity main
and lift station designated on Exhibit No.1 as '"by others".
