<br /> and obligations imposed by the Contract on the Contractor. <br /> Sludge - All of the digested sludge from the \N\NTP. <br /> Wastewater treatment plant - The facility owned and operated by the City of San Marcos <br /> that receives and treats residential and commercial wastewater flows from the City, located <br /> at 720 River Road, San Marcos, Texas. The facility has a current capacity of 9 million <br /> gallon per day. <br /> WWTP - The wastewater treatment plant. <br /> 1.3 SLUDGE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL <br /> The Contractor will: <br /> 1.3.1 Load, handle, haul, and dispose of all of the Sludge at a disposal site appropriately <br /> designated for the type of sludge being hauled. The Contractor will ensure that all disposal <br /> sites are licensed and registered by all local, state and federal regulatory agencies when <br /> applicable, and that the disposal sites have adequate capacity to accommodate the <br /> requirements of the Contract. Any tipping fees charged for disposal are included in the <br /> costs set forth in this Contract. <br /> 1.3.2 Dispose of Class A Sludge at the four City-approved disposal sites depicted on <br /> Attachmen,t A. The Contractor may also use alternate sites with prior written approval by <br /> the City. The Contractor will also dispose of Class B Sludge in the event Class A <br /> standards are not achieved. Information on the location of the Class B Sludge back-up <br /> disposal site is provided in Attachment B. <br /> 1.3.3 Provide sufficient hauling equipment to remove all of the Sludge produced by the <br /> \N\NTP on a daily basis. <br /> 1.3.4 Provide the Services in accordance with all applicable statutes, regulations, <br /> ordinances, permits, standards or other rules and requirements established by any <br /> governmental agency with jurisdiction over any part of these Services. <br /> 1.3.5 Provide all personnel, permits, materials, and equipment to accomplish the <br /> Services. Contractor will monitor sludge application quantities applied to each disposal <br /> site, to not exceed agronomic sludge application rates for nitrogen, to prevent runoff of <br /> sludge after application, and to not create any type of nuisance condition. <br /> 1.3.6 Possess the necessary regulatory agency licenses and insurance coverages, and <br /> its vehicles shall display the assigned TNRCC transporter registration number. The <br /> Contractor will be responsible for upgrading or modifying any gates, roads, culverts or other <br /> facilities at the disposal sites.
