<br /> 145 <br /> RESOLUTION 1998 - 197 R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AN <br /> INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE SOUTH <br /> HAYS COUNTY EMERGENCY SERVICES DISTRICT #3 FOR THE <br /> PROVISION OF TEMPORARY FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES TO THE <br /> DISTRICT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE <br /> AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1. The City of San Marcos entered into an Interlocal Agreement for fire protection <br /> services with the South Hays County Emergency Services District #3 on July 14, <br /> 1998. The Agreement expires on October 13, 1998. <br /> 2. The City Council believes it is in the City's best interest to continue, along with the <br /> 5 bordering volunteer fire departments, to provide temporary fire protection <br /> services to the District, while the District secures another fire protection provider. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> P-ART 1. The terms and conditions of the attached Interlocal Agreement for <br /> Fire Protection Services between the City and the South Hays County Emergency <br /> Services District #3 are approved. <br /> PART 2. The City Manager, Larry D. Gilley, is authorized to execute the <br /> attached fire protection services agreement on behalf of the City. <br /> PART 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and <br /> after its passage. <br /> ADOPTED this the 12TH day of October, 1998 <br /> J)~ f ~ <br /> Billy G.
