<br /> (a) The commission shall make public disclosure of each dismissal. <br /> <br /> Sec. 46.054 46.057. Certification of violation. <br /> <br /> If the fair housing commission determines that a discriminatory housing practice has <br /> occurred and if a public hearing before the commission on the complaint alleging the <br /> violation has been vv'aived, or if the commission has held a public hearing and the efforts <br /> of the commission to secure voluntary compliance have been unsuccessful, the commission <br /> shall cause the fair housing officer to certify transmit its findings in writing to the city <br /> prosecutina attorney having jurisdiction over the violation that the discriminatory housing <br /> practice has occurred, in the determination of the fair housing commission and request the <br /> city attorney to forthwith prosecute the violation in the municipal an appropriate court. <br /> Sec. 46.055. Legal proceedings. <br /> <br /> (a) Upon certification of the city attomey pursuant to the direction of the fair housing <br /> commission under section 46.054, the city attorney shall institute prosecute a charge in <br /> municipal court. and prosecute the charge to final conclusion. <br /> (b) The actions taken by the city attorney shall be cumulathfe of all other remedies <br /> and procedures for the effectuation and enforcement of this article and the prosecution of <br /> alleged violators of this article, <br /> Sec. 46.956 46.058. Cooperation with Secretary of IlotJsing and Urban Development <br /> State and Federal Aaencies. <br /> <br /> íID The fair housing commission and the fair housing officer are authorized to <br /> cooperate with the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development pursuant to title VII, r air <br /> I lousing Act of 1968, rL 90-284, and may render whatsoever service to the secretary as <br /> shall be deemed appropriate to further the policies of this and the Attorney General of the <br /> United States in the enforcement of the federal Fair Housina Act. as amended. The <br /> commission is encouraaed to cooperate with the Texas Commission on Human Riahts in <br /> the enforcement of the Texas Fair Housina Act. as amended. <br /> <br /> (b) The commission shall treat a complaint referred by the Secretary of Housina and <br /> Urban Development or the Attorney General of the United States under the Fair Housina. <br /> Act. as amended. or by the Texas Commission on Human Riahts under the Texas Fair <br /> Housing Act. as amended. as a complaint filed under this article. No action will be taken <br /> under this article against a person for a discriminatory housina practice if the referred <br /> complaint was filed with the aovernmental entity later than one (1) year after an alleaed <br /> discriminatory practice occurred or terminated. <br /> <br /> Sees. 46.057 46.061-46.075.
