She stated she appreciates all the hard work the Police <br />Department does. 5) Mr. Bose thanked the Police and Fire Department for <br />their hard work. 6) Mr. Bose stated he attended the Hispanic Chamber <br />Luncheon were Mayor Narvaiz was on the panel for discussion.. 7) Mr. Bose <br />stated he attended the Rio Vista Falls documentary on Thursday, April 12, <br />2007. He thanked the City Manager and Mayor Narvaiz for their outstanding <br />job. 8) Mr. Bose thanked the Parks and Recreation Department and the Lions <br />for their hard work during the river cleanup. 9) Mr. Bose stated he <br />attended the Texas State University Alliance of Student Government debate <br />at the between two candidates. He encouraged everyone to be involved in <br />elections and to vote. 10) Mayor Narvaiz stated she testifies at the <br />Capital on the Edwards Aquifer Bill. She feels San Marcos is fighting the <br />giant. She thanked to Tom Taggart for his hard work. She stated she will <br />be providing key people with a book of our river story and a copy of our <br />documentary, which showing the living breathing part of our City. 11) <br />Mayor Narvaiz stated she was a Guest Football Coach during the Bobcat <br />football scrimmage. She stated the Texas State Coaches for allowing her to <br />coach. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting held April 3, 2007, approval of one Ordinance on second <br />reading and adoption of thirteen Resolutions, and approval to solicit bids <br />for the purchase of City owned property located at 300 Ellis, on consent. <br />The Council pulled Item 10, approval of Ordinance, Items 15, 16, 17, 20, <br />and 21, adoption of Resolution, and Item 24, approval to solicit bids for <br />the purchase of City owned property located at 300 Ellis, to be considered <br />separately.
