<br />1.6 <br /> <br />For the purposes of this Agreement, the following definitions apply: <br /> <br />A) ROI means Return On Investments. <br />B) V AP means Value Added Proposition. <br />C) PLC means Programmable Logic Controller. <br />D) SCADA means Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition. <br />E) MIU means Meter Interface Unit. <br />F) Implementation Phase - describes the the entire Test Phase from Meter <br />Installations, Meter Reads, Meter Data Storage, Meter Data Transfer to Billing the <br />City's Utility Billing Program, and Reporting. <br /> <br />1.2 ASSESSEMENT, PROCUREMENT AND INSTALLATION <br /> <br />1.2.1 Perform an AMR assessment to wherein the Consultant will: <br /> <br />A) AMR Functional Requirements <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Provide data requirements to the City to enable the City to gather necessary asset <br />data; <br />Tour facilities to observe conditions, inspect systems and develop a feel for <br />system requirements; <br />Review work flow processes; <br />Perform City Staff/Department(s) interviews; <br />Perform analysis of meter services data; and <br />Perform billing/Customer Information System ("CIS") review and analysis. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />3) <br />4) <br />5) <br />6) <br /> <br />B) Feasibility Study <br /> <br />1) Determine AMR possibilities; <br />2) Develop, review and recommend financing options; <br />3) Perform a critical test analysis; <br />4) Perform a first pass cost analysis; <br />5) Identify potential ROI; and <br />6) Identify Potential V AP to guide the City m developing project goals and <br />objectives. <br /> <br />C) Estimating <br /> <br />1) <br />2) <br />3) <br />4) <br />5) <br />6) <br /> <br />Request base line hardware estimates from a variety of component vendors; <br />Screen top tier vendors; <br />Provide the City with conceptual-budgetary proposals; <br />Review and verify radio path / PLC surveys; <br />Develop base cost(s) for AMR implementation; and <br />Develop time Lines for the Project. <br /> <br />Automated Meter Reading Contract <br /> <br />Page 2 of 14 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />
