Chapter 2 Sector Three Today <br />Community Facilities <br />Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Service Protection <br />Sector Three is located in the Charlie and Edward Police Patrol Districts. Fire protection <br />in Sector Three is provided from Fire Station #2 at Holland Street and Academy Street. <br />Emergency Medical Service is provided by San Marcos /Hays County EMS. <br />Water and Wastewater Systems <br />Water and wastewater service throughout the city is provided by the City of San Marcos. <br />Major waterlines in Sector Three run along Bishop Street, Holland Street, Sessoms Drive, <br />Orchard to Peach Tree, and Forest Lane from LBJ Drive to the city limits. There are two <br />large wastewater lines that serve Sector Three: one runs along Sessoms Drive and the <br />other runs along the west side of North LBJ Drive. There are four major pump stations in <br />Sector Four, all located near the intersection of LBJ Drive and Bishop Street. Some <br />residents still have septic systems, but as units are sold, hookup to the city's wastewater <br />system is required of new owners. <br />Electric Service <br />Electric service is provided by the City of San Marcos. <br />Solid Waste Collection <br />The City of San Marcos contracts with Browning - Ferris Industries (BFI) to provide <br />residential garbage collection in the area. <br />Natural Gas <br />Entex, Inc., is the supplier of natural gas in San Marcos. <br />Telephone <br />Century Telephone of San Marcos, Inc. (CTSM) provides telephone service in San <br />Marcos and surrounding areas. <br />Cable Television <br />TCI Cablevision of Texas (TCI) offers cable television service to the San Marcos area. <br />Education <br />The San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District (SMCISD) has no public <br />schools located in Sector Three: The nearest schools to the sector are Travis Elementary <br />School (K -4) on Post Road and Crockett Elementary School (K -4) on Clyde Street. The <br />Wonderland School, a private school, is located on Country Estates Drive. <br />PAE1 <br />
