Supply Strategies documentation for submission to regional water planning groups (MS Word, pdf).

1.7 TASK 6 - SURFACE WATER AVAILABILITY ANALYSES

This task involves the in-depth analysis of two of the six strategies developed in Task 6 using
the Water Availability Model (WAM) to determine the reliability of the source and potential impacts
on downstream water rights holders.

The Consultant will:

1.7.i Review and evaluate information available from the Texas Commission on Envirol~mental
Quality (TCEQ) and RWPGs on surface water availability models (WAMs).

1.7.2 Review water rights currently held.

1.7.3 Determine if the reliability of rights identified in the selected strategies are adequately
addressed in the respective WAMs. The Consultant will use the Surface WAM to analyze the
impacts of strategies on other water rights.

1.7.4 Evaluate interruptible supplies to be used for City needs if selected as an alternative for in-
depth analysis. Evaluate potential sites for the use of storage to maximize yield.

1.7.5 Determine the water quality of various water supply soumes and any potential blending issues.

1.7.6 Deliverables: Summary of Analysis and Findings (MS Word or pdf); copies of model inputs
and outputs (hardcopy & digital); copies of water rights held on analyzed surface waters;
maps/exhibits of evaluated storage site locations (GIS, pdf).

1.8 TASK 7 - GROUND WATER AVAILABILITY ANALYSES

This task involves the in-depth analysis of one groundwater strategy developed in Task 5
using the Groundwater Availability Model (GAM) to determine the regional impact a particular
strategy may have. TWDB is currently developing GAMs, and the Carrizo GAM are currently
available only in draft form. Complex analysis or modeling of surface and groundwater interactions
are not identified in this scope of services.

The Consultant will:

1.8. l Review m~d evaluate the TWDB groundwater availability models (GAMs) for the Carrizo and
other aquifers (where available) to determine groundwater availability and/or limitations on
groundwater supply.

1.8.2. Test one groundwater scenario to make a preliminary determination of the level of'water
