1.5 TASK 4 - POPULATION AND WATER DEMAND ANALYSES <br /> <br />The Consultant will: <br /> <br />1.5. I Review and evaluate approved TWDB 50-year decadai population forecasts based upon <br />information provided by City of San Marcos to the regional planning group. Identify issues related <br />to projections and provide the City with the process to revise if necessary. <br /> <br />1.5.2 Review current per capita water demand calculated with Water Master Plan and other City <br />data. Compare with water demand values in previous regional plan and with historical data. Identify <br />issues and provide docunrentation for City to use in an update to regional planning group. Develop <br />water demand projections and supplies for the City with and without consideration of the City's <br />water conservation plan for comparison purposes. <br /> <br />1.5.3 Evaluate impacts of TWDB expected conservation per capita use projections on City of San <br />Marcos future supply strategies. <br /> <br />1.5.4 Deliverables: Per capita water demand review, demand projections for 50 year horizon with <br />and withom City water conservation plan, demand projections incorporating TWDB criteria for <br />conservation (MS Word or pdf). <br /> <br />1.6 TASK 5 - WATER SUPPLY STRATEGIES <br /> <br />The Consultant will: <br /> <br />1.6.1 Evaluate the six strategies approved in Task 3 to determine the cost and benefit of utilizing <br />each water supply strategy. The evaluation will include dependability, quantity of water available, <br />permitting issues and constraints and potential enviro~mentaI impacts for each strategy. <br /> <br />1.6.2 Develop each of the strategies to the extent consistent with current requirements for <br />consideration by the Regional Water Plamfing Group (RWPG) for inclusion in the Region L plan <br />or by another region where the alternative supply source may be located. <br /> <br />1.6.3 Colnpare the developed strategies with one another and prioritize the strategies based upon <br />meeting the short and long term supply needs of the community. Identify opportunities for <br />collaborative efforts. <br /> <br />1.6.4 Not perform modeling in association with this task. Data for the development of the <br />alternatives will be extracted from existing reports and studies. More detailed analysis will be <br />performed in conjunction with Tasks 6 and 7 on tln'ee (3) selected strategies. The Consultant will <br />provide direction on criteria to be used in prioritizing strategies. <br /> <br />1.6.5 Deliverables: Supply Strategies Sulnmm~; cost and benefit analysis; prioritized Strategy list; <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br /> <br />
