<br />. <br /> " <br />, l59 <br /> -- <br /> AMENDMENT NO.1 <br /> PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES AGREEMENT <br /> SURFACE WATER TREATMENT PLANT PROJECT <br /> ALAN PLUMMER ASSOCIATES, INC. <br /> STATE OF TEXAS <br /> COUNTY OF HAYS <br />~ <br />J The City of San Marcos ("CITY") and Alan Plummer Associates, Inc. ("ENGINEER") <br /> agree to amend the Professional Engineering Services Agreement for the City's Surface <br /> Water Treatment Plant Project (the "Project") dated August 13, 1996 (the "Agreement"). <br /> 1. The ENGINEER and CITY agree to amend Section 1.3 of the Agreement to <br /> read as follows: <br /> 1.3 BASIC SERVICES PHASE 2 - DESIGN DEVELOPMENT, CONSTRUCTION <br /> CONTRACT DOCUMENTATION AND BIDDING <br /> The ENGINEER will: <br /> < <br /> 1.3.1 Attend a preliminary conference with the CITY and Program Manager. <br /> 1.3.2 Establish the scope of work for subsurface investigations including borings, <br /> test pits, soil resistivity surveys, soils, geotechnical, and foundation investigations and <br /> tests, which are required for the Project in the opinion of the ENGINEER, and assist the <br /> CITY in arranging for these investigations to be completed on the City's account. <br /> 1.3.3 Establish the scope of work for topographic and boundary surveys to collect <br />I information which is required for the Project, in the opinion of the ENGINEER, and assist <br /> the CITY in arranging for such work to be completed on the City's account. <br />I <br /> 1.3.4 Prepare detailed plans and technical specifications for the Surface Water <br /> Treatment Plant (the "Plant") including the following improvements outlined in the <br /> ENGINEER's draft Surface Water Treatment Plant Preliminary Design Report and as <br /> modified through subsequent reviews and value engineering. <br /> A. One in-line rapid mix vault and one new metering vault. <br /> B. One 6-MGD solid contact clarifier with tube settlers. <br /> C. Four filters and pipe gallery. <br /> D. One transfer well with two 6 MGD variable speed drive transfer pumps. <br /> E. One chemical/administration building. <br /> F. One high service pump station with two 6 MGD variable speed drive <br /> high services pumps. <br /> 1 <br />
