<br /> (UP <br /> (a) Aluminum beverage cans <br /> (b) Ferrous cans <br /> (c) Clear glass <br /> (d) Colored glass <br /> (e) Newsprint/magazines <br /> (f) Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and high density polyethylene plastics (HOPE) <br /> (g) Motor oil <br /> (h) Direct mail advertisements <br /> With the Director's approval, which will not be unreasonably withheld, SFI will have the <br /> right to add or delete materials from time to time based upon the commercial markets for <br /> the materials. All recyclable materials collected by SFI will become its property. <br /> 1.3.4 Furnish each residential unit with a recycling bin. <br /> 1.3.5 Not limit, except as may otherwise be noted in this Contract, the amount of <br /> recyclables residents place out for removal. Residents will not be required to separate <br /> materials by types, but they will be required to use recycling bins provided by SFI for <br /> setting out materials for pickup. <br /> 1.3.6 Notify the City of all materials not collected and the reason for it. The City will then <br /> investigate all "no pickups" and advise the resident of the reasons, or require SFI to collect <br /> the material. The City will act in a fair and reasonable manner in dèciding these issues, <br /> and the City's decision will be final. <br /> 1.3.7 Discontinue recyclable collection service to any location as set forth in a written <br /> notice sent to SF! by the City. SF! will resume collection service at the location on the next <br /> regularly scheduled collection day upon written notice from the City. <br /> 1.3.8 Comply with all applicable State of Texas rules and regulations when operating <br /> on the separation/processing site. SFI will dispose of materials which cannot be utilized <br /> by recycling markets at a legally permitted municipal solid waste facility. Contaminated <br /> recyclable materials collected from residences in the contract area may be disposed of by <br /> SF!. SFl's failure to operate its processing site in accordance with all applicable <br /> regulations will be considered as being in non-compliance with this Contract. <br /> Recycling Drop-off Center/City Office Recyclables Pickup <br /> 1.3.9 Provide for the operation through a subcontractor of a Recycling Drop-off Center <br /> within the City to collect recyclable materials from the public. The subcontractor will be <br /> required to provide appropriate supervision, materials, equipment, and labor for the <br /> operation of the Recycling Drop-off Center as follows: <br /> A. Accept all types of paper and cardboard, tires, oil and filters, scrap metal and <br /> white goods, glass, freon bearing appliances, certain types of plastic, non <br /> 5 <br />
