<br />mount each photograph with adjacent captions to explain the photograph. If requested by <br />the City, the Consultant will provide two copies of a narrated videotape documenting tank <br />conditions and labeled to indicate contents of tape, at an additional cost of $2,000.00 per <br />tank. If the City desires videotaping, the City will notify the Consultant prior to scheduling <br />the work. <br />E. Feasibility: The Consultant will accumulate all information necessary to provide a <br />feasibility report, where required, to address the ramifications of abandoning, dismantling, <br />modifying and/or moving tanks as directed by the City. Each tank report will include a <br />section discussing the feasibility of the various alternatives being considered by the City. <br />(1) Spring lake Tank: Consultant will discuss the ramifications of the tank being <br />abandoned for several years, or seeing limited use. Consultant will provide pros and cons <br />of abandoning the tank as well as any measures the City should take to minimize costs <br />should the tank be placed back on-line in the future will be provided. <br />(2) Crawford Tank: If the City determines that the Crawford tank will not be <br />abandoned, the Consultant will address the feasibility of raising this tank. In order to <br />perform this analysis, the Consultant will gather all pertinent information in the field related <br />to the tank structure. The City will provide information on the original foundation design <br />and construction in order for the Consultant to properly determine the feasibility of raising <br />this tank. <br />(3) Franklin Tank: The Consultant will provide an analysis on the feasibility of <br />reducing by 20 feet the height of the Franklin Tank, and relocating it to the Midway site. <br />The report will include any constructability issues for the Midway site. <br />1.4.2 Provide recommendations for the proper relocation of any tank. Consultant will <br />address the preßence of lead-based coatings, the extent and location of existing metal <br />loss, other types of damage, type of steel used in original construction, and <br />appropriateness of existing structural design for a new location in the feasibility section of <br />each report. The Consultant will also include a cost estimate comparison between <br />relocating or modifying an existing tank versus the construction of a new tank. <br />1.4.3 For the Comanche, Midway and Butler tanks, the Consultant will prepare and submit <br />a certified, sealed engineering report in narrative form outlining the Consultant's <br />observations and recommendations to the City regarding the demolition of each tank, to <br />include the following: <br />A. Evaluation of the coating system for special considerations which may be required <br />during demolition and disposal, Le., the presence of lead-based paints. <br />B. Recommendations on specifications for demolition, or if applicable, for resale of the <br />tank. <br /> 4 <br />
