<br />services the compensation for which exceeds $15,000. <br /> ARTICLE 2 <br /> THE CITY'S RESPONSIBILITIES <br />The City will: <br />2.1 Provide full information to the Consultant regarding requirements for the Project <br />including design objectives and constraints, space, capacity and performance <br />requirements, flexibility and expand ability, and any budgetary limitations; and furnish <br />copies of all design standards and construction standards which City has if any. <br />2.2 Designate Stephen Jenkins, Director of Environment and Engineering to, act as the <br />City's authorized representative with respect to this Agreement. The City and/or its <br />authorized representative will examine the documents submitted by the Consultant and <br />promptly render responses and provide Consultant with requested data or information in <br />the City's possession relating to the Project. <br />2.4 Provide access to and make all necessary provisions for the Consultant to enter <br />public and private property as required for the Consultant to perform its services under this <br />Agreement. <br />2.5 Remove all ground level manhole covers before the evaluation phase and resecure <br />covers after completion of the field work. <br />2.6 Drain tanks and operate water works system prior to tank evaluation and washout <br />by Consultant, and refill on mutually agreed upon dates and times. <br />2.7 Take tanks off-line while Consultant's divers are in tanks and operate the water <br />works system with tanks off-line without assistance from Consultant. <br />2.8 Disconnect power to any cathodic protection system during field work on tanks and <br />returning the system to working order upon conclusion of field work. <br />2.9 Provide mechanism for safe access to the exterior tank ladders if bottom of tank <br />ladders are more than 12 feet above the ground. <br />2.10 Furnish a ground man for safety considerations during the course of the work. <br />2.11 Provide Consultant with all required sleeves and attachments for any safe climbing <br />devices on the tank ladders in order for Consultant to test devices proper operation. <br />2.12 Take samples and perform all required testing prior to placing tanks into service. <br /> 6 <br />
