<br /> 82 <br /> CALABOOSE MUSEUM SERVICE CONTRACT <br /> THE STATE OF TEXAS <br /> COUNTY OF HAYS <br /> On this 9th day of September , 1997, the City of San Marcos, a Texas <br /> municipal corporation (the "City"), and the Calaboose African American History Committee, <br /> a voluntary association (the "Committee"), have entered into this service contract regarding <br /> the Calaboose Museum owned by the City at 200 W. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, under <br /> the terms, consideration and conditions as follows: <br /> 1. The operation of the Calaboose will be by the Committee under the direction <br /> of the Parks and Recreation Department. <br /> 2. The Committee will be comprised of members of the San Marcos Heritage <br /> Association and members of the neighborhood and community, trained in the specifics of <br /> the Calaboose. The duties of the Committee will include guiding tours through the facility, <br /> making public presentations about the facility and having a member present in the facility <br /> at all times when the facility is open to the public. <br /> 3. The City will provide routine grounds maintenance, payment of utilities and <br /> routine repairs and maintenance to the Calaboose. <br /> 4. The Committee, in lieu of paying use fees, will be responsible for the interior <br /> custodial services incidental to the facility being available for tours and open to the public, <br /> as well as other services in keeping with the operation of the Calaboose as a museum. <br />
