<br /> 3 ¡; I<.. <br /> Attachment A to Contract for Engineering Services <br /> I 1) Subnùt design memorandum and cost information for use by the value <br /> engineering team. Meet with the VB team to present design <br /> memorandum, obtain recommendations of VB team, and discuss design <br /> team's response. <br /> 2) Subnùt 60 percent complete construction contract documents and cost <br /> information to the VE team. Meet with the VB team to present the <br /> documents, obtain recommendations of the VB team, and discuss design <br /> team's response. <br /> 6.4 Bid Phase Services <br /> 1) Provide Owner and CM with one set of reproducible construction <br /> contract documents for bidding purposes. <br /> 2) Attend pre-bid conference and assist Owner and CM during. <br /> 3) Interpret construction contract documents. Provide technical information <br /> to CM for addenda. <br /> 4) Assist Owner and CM during bid opening and evaluation. Answer <br /> questions during bid opening and evaluation. <br /> ~ <br /> Task 7.0 - Construction Phase Services <br /> 7.1 Project Administration <br /> Engineer will perform project adnùnistration services during the construction <br /> phase of the project. By performing these services, Engineer shall not have <br /> authority or responsibility to supervise, direct, or control the Contractor's work <br /> or the Contractor's means, methods, techniques, sequences, or procedures of <br /> construction. Engineer shall not have the authority or responsibility for safety <br /> precautions and programs incident to the Contractor's work or for any failure <br /> of the Contractor to comply with raws, regulations, rules, ordinances, codes, or <br /> - orders applicable to the Contractor furnishing and perfornùng the work, unless <br /> the programs or failure are due to the negligence of the Engineer or are under <br /> the Engineer's control. However, Engineer will exercise its professional <br /> judgement on behalf of Owner during the construction phase so that work <br /> performed by the Contractor results in a Project completed in accordance with <br /> the construction contract documents, and during any phase shoul,d the <br /> Engineer become aware of the Contractor's utilization of means, methods, <br /> techniques, sequences and/or procedures of construction which, in Engineer's <br /> opinion, will not result in completion of the Project in accordance \-vith the <br /> construction contract documents or which are unsafe, Engineer 'will <br /> immediately inform the Owner and CM. In such situations, the Engineer may <br /> recommend to the Owner and CM that work by Contractor on the Project be <br /> immediately ceased.
