3 ¡; I<.. Attachment A to Contract for Engineering Services I 1) Subnùt design memorandum and cost information for use by the value engineering team. Meet with the VB team to present design memorandum, obtain recommendations of VB team, and discuss design team's response. 2) Subnùt 60 percent complete construction contract documents and cost information to the VE team. Meet with the VB team to present the documents, obtain recommendations of the VB team, and discuss design team's response. 6.4 Bid Phase Services 1) Provide Owner and CM with one set of reproducible construction contract documents for bidding purposes. 2) Attend pre-bid conference and assist Owner and CM during. 3) Interpret construction contract documents. Provide technical information to CM for addenda. 4) Assist Owner and CM during bid opening and evaluation. Answer questions during bid opening and evaluation. ~ Task 7.0 - Construction Phase Services 7.1 Project Administration Engineer will perform project adnùnistration services during the construction phase of the project. By performing these services, Engineer shall not have authority or responsibility to supervise, direct, or control the Contractor's work or the Contractor's means, methods, techniques, sequences, or procedures of construction. Engineer shall not have the authority or responsibility for safety precautions and programs incident to the Contractor's work or for any failure of the Contractor to comply with raws, regulations, rules, ordinances, codes, or - orders applicable to the Contractor furnishing and perfornùng the work, unless the programs or failure are due to the negligence of the Engineer or are under the Engineer's control. However, Engineer will exercise its professional judgement on behalf of Owner during the construction phase so that work performed by the Contractor results in a Project completed in accordance with the construction contract documents, and during any phase shoul,d the Engineer become aware of the Contractor's utilization of means, methods, techniques, sequences and/or procedures of construction which, in Engineer's opinion, will not result in completion of the Project in accordance \-vith the construction contract documents or which are unsafe, Engineer 'will immediately inform the Owner and CM. In such situations, the Engineer may recommend to the Owner and CM that work by Contractor on the Project be immediately ceased.
