The following topics <br /> will be included: <br /> a. Introduction. Brief statement of manual purpose; description of unit <br /> processes and flow path; summary of permits and standards which <br /> must be met; table of design criteria. <br /> b. Operations Considerations. Discussion of operational theory, control <br /> variables, process control and process efficiency for the treatment <br /> facilities. <br /> c. Facilities Description. Operation and Control of Facilities. Discussion <br /> of the operation and purpose of each unit treahnent process. <br /> d. Description and Operation of the Auxiliary Facilities. Discussion of <br /> auxiliary systems, including odor control, air systems, flow <br /> measurement devices, and water seal systems. <br /> e. Utilities. Descriptions and operational considerations for site <br /> utilities, including potable and nonpotable water; basin and channel <br /> drain system; and other systems. ' <br /> f. Electrical System. Detailed description of the electrical system from <br /> the main substation to the facility's individual motor control centers. <br /> 0" Maintenance. Nameplate data for each major piece of equipment, <br /> O' <br /> list of the manufacturer's recommended spare parts, and schedule of <br /> equipment manufacturer's preventative maintenance activities. <br /> h. Appendices. A glossary of treatment terms and appreciations used <br /> pertinent to this facility. <br /> 2) Following Owner's and CM's review, make any necessary modifications <br /> and submit - copies of final manual. <br /> 8.2 Startup and Personnel Training <br /> 1) Develop and conduct a one-week pre-startup training program for plant <br /> supervisors, operators, maintenance, and laboratory personnel. It is <br /> anticipated that pre-startup training will consist of a total of 15 hours of <br /> classroom work, supplemented by onsite "hands-on" training for <br /> individuals and groups. <br /> 2) Consult with Owner on training needs for post-startup operation and <br /> prepare a schedule.
