<br /> ShV <br /> Attachment B to <br /> Contract for Engineering Services <br /> Owner: City of San Marcos <br /> Project: Sludge Processing and Disposal Facilities ~ <br /> ~~ - Compensation <br /> For the services covered by this Contract, Owner agrees to pay Engineer as set <br /> forth below. <br /> A. Owner will be invoiced for actual hours worked on the project at the <br /> employee's direct labor rate times a multiplier of 3.12. Direct labor is <br /> defined as the actual salaries paid the employees. <br /> Actual out-of-pocket expenses incurred specifically for tills project will be <br /> invoiced at cost. These expenses include, but are not limited to: airfare, <br /> meals, lodging, and travel incidentals; automobile rentat mileage, <br /> parking, tolls, and taxi charges; telephone and facsimile charges; <br /> overnight delivery and courier services; printing apd reproduction costs; <br /> outside computer costs; equipment rental; temporary help; and <br /> miscellaneous costs. <br /> Work performed by subcontractors or outside consultants will be <br /> invoiced at actual cost. <br /> B. The contract upper limit for Tasks 1-5, consisting of project management, <br /> preliminary design, definition of land application program, composting <br /> pilot trials, and implementation of land application, is $159,485, which <br /> shall not be exceeded withou~ prior written authorization from Owner. <br /> C. The contract upper limit fee for Tasks 6-8, consisting of final design, <br /> construction phase services, and post-construction services, will be <br /> negotiated when the scope of work is defined and agreed to by Owner <br /> after the conclusion of Task 2, Preliminary Design. <br /> D. For any supplemental services requested by Owner (Task 9),. a scope of <br /> work shall be established for each item before the work is started, and a <br /> contract upper limit fee will be negotiated. <br /> E. Billing period (every four weeks) payments shall be made to the Engineer <br /> by the Owner based on the Engineer's statement.
