Sec. 106.074. Permanent off-premises signs. <br /> <br />(a) Off-premises signs within the city and within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the city are <br />subiect to all provisions of~,,,~,,~'~'~ ~,~,.~,~ ..... ,,,,:+~' this section. Any requirement, standard _or <br />prohibition not specifically outlined in this section is regulated by applicable provisions of <br />V.T.C.A, Trm~sportation Code Chapter 391 and regulations issued under that chapter XSc Tcxa: <br /> <br />+~.~ ~;,.. -r, ...... ;_; ..... ~.~+~ .... c,,.; .... *;~ ~ -~* ~-'-' +~ ~'~-~'- ~;~ For each sign <br />location, a maximum of two sign faces, front and back, are permitted. Multiple sign faces, <br />whether stacked or side-by-side, at the same location and facing the same direction are <br />prohibited. Existing signs with more than two faces may continue as nonconforming signs, <br />subiect to the provisions of section 106.010. <br /> <br />(c g) Existing off-premises signs having wooden pole supports in locations where new off- <br />premises signs are allowed may be restructured to a metal monopole support. <br /> <br />(d g) New and restructured signs shall comply witb the following: <br /> <br /> LD m Maximum area. 480 Four 'hundred ~,~,,,,~ square feet or, for restructured <br />signs, the area of the existing sign, whichever is less_4 <br /> <br /> (2) I~. Maximum height. Twenty-five feet for signs with an area of less than 75 <br />square feet, and 42 ½ feet for signs with an area of 75 square feet to 480 square feet. <br /> <br />(3) Setback. A minimum setback of 10 feet is required from all property lines. <br /> <br />(e 4) Location andspacing restrictions. New or restructured off-premises signs are permitted <br />only along the following highways and they shall comply with the following minimum spacing <br />requirements with respect to other off-premises signs on the same side of the street or highway, <br />and with all applicable provisions of V.T.C.A, Transportation Code Chapter 391 and regulations <br />issued under that chapter with respect to sign placement regulations not otherwise established <br />in this chapter: <br /> <br /> LD In the highway corridor, new and restructured off-premises signs are permitted <br />ttn'oughout the city and its extraterritorial iurisdiction, with a minimum spacing of 1,500 .... <br /> <br /> (2) Along the following roadways, new and restractured off-premises signs are <br />permitted in the city and its extraten'itorial jurisdiction, subiect to a minimum spacing of 500 feet <br />in the city limits and 750 feet in the extraterritorial iurisdiction: <br /> <br />(A) State Highway 123. <br />(B) State Highway 21. <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br /> <br />
