The <br /> police department is composed of 61 cmnmissioned police officers and 26 reserve police officers. The fire department has 32 <br /> cnmmi...cñoned firdigÞting personnel and 10 reserve fiƓfighters. There are 3 fire stations, 3 engine companies, 1 reserve <br /> company, and a swift water rescue team. <br /> In 1983, the San Marcos City Council adopted the San Marcos Master Plan. This document represents the goals and objectives <br /> of the citizens of San Marcos. These policies are used to effectively guide and coordinate the development of the San Marcos <br /> community and to guide public officials in the development of annual capital improvement programs. This Master Plan <br /> enrourages the public agencies to coordinate their services in an efficient and economic manner and guide private development <br /> to those areas most_suitable in order to coordinate both public and private development efforts.
