<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 14 - BUILDINGS AND
<br />BUILDING REGULATIONS, BY ADOPTING THE MOST RECENT
<br />BUILDING CODE REVISIONS; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS;
<br />r' AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES.

<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS:
<br />
<br />SECTION 1. The Building Code, as adopted in Section 14.026 of the San
<br />Marcos City Code, is amended to read as follows:
<br />
<br />The Standard Building Code, 1994 edition, including appendices A, C, D,
<br />E, H, K, and M, published by the Southern Building Code Congress International,
<br />Inc., is adopted by reference.
<br />
<br />SECTION 2. The Gas Code, as adopted in Section 14.131 of the San Marcos
<br />City Code, is amended to read as follows:

<br />The Standard Gas Code, 1994 edition, including appendices A and D,
<br />published by the Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc., is adopted
<br />by reference.

<br />SECTION 3. The Mechanical Code, as adopted in Section 14.076 of the San
<br />Marcos City Code, is amended to read as follows:

<br />: - The Standard Mechanical Code, 1994 edition, including appendix A,
<br />; published by the Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc., is adopted
<br />I by reference.

<br />SECTION 4. The Plumbing Code, as adopted in Section 14.101 of the San
<br />Marcos City Code, is amended to read as follows:

<br />The Standard Plumbing Code, 1994 edition, including appendices A, E, F,
<br />G, I, and K, published by the Southern Building Code Congress Internatipnal, Inc.,
<br />is adopted by reference.

<br />SECTION 5. The Housing Code, as adopted in Section 14.216 of the San
<br />Marcos City Code, is amended to read as follows:

<br />The Standard Housing Code, 1994 edition, published by the Southern
<br />Building Code Congress International, Inc., is adopted by reference.
<br />
<br />SECTION 6. The Swimming Pool Code, as adopted in Section 14.161 of the
<br />San Marcos City Code, is amended to read as follows:
<br />
<br />The Standard Swimming Pool Code, 1994 edition, published by the
<br />¡ Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc., is adopted by reference.

<br />. SECTION 7. The Amendments to Appendix C of the Building Code contained
<br />in Section 14.027 of the San Marcos City Code are revised to replace references to "the
<br />1992 edition of the C.A.B.O. One- and Two-Family Dwelling Code" with "the 1995 edition
<br />of the C.A.B.O. One- and Two-Family Dwelling Code."
<br />
<br />SECTION 8. The Standard Existing Buildings Code, as adopted in Section
<br />14.186 of the San Marcos City Code, is amended to read as follows:
