<br /> /lA- <br /> The Standard Existing Buildings Code, 1988 edition, including the 1991 and <br /> 1994 revisions, published by the Southern Building Code Congress International, <br /> Inc., is adopted by reference. <br /> SECTION 9. That the National Electrical Code, as adopted in Section 14.291 <br /> of the San Marcos City Code, is amended to read as follows: <br /> (a) The National Electrical Code (NFiPA 70-1996), 1996 edition (the NEC), <br /> and the Electrical Code for One- and Two-Family Dwellings (NFiPA 70A), 1987 <br /> edition, are adopted by reference. <br /> SECTION 10. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this <br /> ordinance is held to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the <br /> other provisions of this ordinance will continue in force if they can be given effect without <br /> the invalid portion. <br /> SECTION 11. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or <br /> resolutions in conflict with this ordinance are repealed. <br /> SECTION 12. Any person violating any provision of this ordinancecommits a <br /> misdemeanor and is subject to the penalty provided in Section 1.015 of the San Marcos <br /> City Code upon conviction. .. <br /> SECTION 13.
