On January 23, 1996, the Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public <br />1Jj ~ - @lãring on proposed changes to Sections 22, 23, 32 and 35 of the City's General Zoning <br />;.j ~i t6í-C1inance (recodified effective February 22, 1996 as Sections 114.353, 114.368, 114.518, <br />îL:¿:.\t1 ¡::t'ltt-.533 and 114.578 of the San Marcos City Code), and voted to recommend the changes <br />"~ 'tò',the City Council. <br />. <br /> <br />2. On February 13, 1996, the Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public <br />hearing on proposed changes to Sections 35 and 36 of the City's General Zoning <br />Ordinance (recodified as Sections 114.578 and 114.618 öfthe San Marcos City Code), <br />and voted to recommend the changes to the City Council. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Section 114.353(1 )a. and (10) of the San Marcos City Code are <br />amended, and Section 114.353(11) is added, to "read as follows: <br /> <br />a. 12,000 square feet; the gross density shall not exceed 24 dwelling units per <br />acre. <br /> <br />(1) Minimum lot area: <br /> <br />a. 12,000 square feet <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />(10) Maximum gross density: 24 dwellings units per acre. <br /> <br />(11) See section 114.611 et seq. for further clarification and exceptions and <br />modifications. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Section 114.368(1)a. and (10) of the San Marcos City Code is <br />amended, and Section 114.368(11) is added, to read as follows: <br /> <br />a. 20,000 square feet; the gross density shall not exceed 40 dwelling units <br />per acre. <br /> <br />(1) Minimum lot size: <br /> <br />a. 20,000 square feet. <br />
