QUICK RESPONSE TRUCK <br /> ~rs- The following proposal meets the eligible activities definition as <br /> Step 1: <br /> outlined by CDBG regulations, as modified by statutory amendments <br /> under the category of PUBLIC FACILITIES AND IMPROVEMENTS <br /> "Fire protection facilities/equipment", <br /> Step 2: The proposal does not appear in listing where explicitly ineligible <br /> activities are identified. <br /> Step 3: The proposal meets two of the three National Objectives in that it (1) <br /> benefits low and moderate income persons and (2) meets a <br /> particularly urgent community development need. <br /> Fundinq Request: <br /> <br /> $35,000.00 . <br /> .. Proposal: <br /> <br /> Purchase of a new quick response truck to provide first responder service to <br /> emergencies within the 1990 Census Tracts 104, 105 and 103.02, which are <br /> contained within the service district of Station #4, located on Broadway S1. This <br /> area is generally east of the railroad tracks closest to IH-35. <br /> Proposal Specifications: <br /> <br /> The San Marcos Fire & Rescue Department would propose to purchase a 3/4 <br /> Ton, 4-wheel drive, 4-door crew cab truck equipped with work body cabinets for <br /> carrying emergency medical and rescue equipment, a gasoline engine powered <br /> pump with a 100 gallon water tank, 1" redline hose for first response- It would <br /> respond to all life threatening emergencies- <br /> Demoqraphic Information: <br /> <br /> In accordance with qualifications outlined, this proposal will be used for a <br /> purpose, the benefits of which are available to all the residents in a particular <br /> area, and at least 51 % or those residents are Low to Moderate income persons. <br /> ~~ <br />
