Conduct onsite observations of the general progress of the work <br />to assist Program Manager in determining if the work is <br />progressing in accordance with the construction contract <br />documents. <br /> <br />b. Serve as construction site liaison with the Contractor, working <br />principally through the Contractor's superintendent, ,and with <br />Owner personnel providing interpretation of the construction <br />,- contract documents. Transmit clarifications and interpretations of <br />the construction contract documents to the Contractor. <br />i <br /> <br />c. Assist in coordination of scheduling of the Contractor's operations <br />that affect Owner's onsite operation and the work of other <br />contractors. <br /> <br />d:' Determine whether Contractor has a sufficient number of skilled <br />personnel and equipment and review the availability of materials <br />and supplies to meet the Project schedule. Issue coordination and <br />schedule directives to Contractor to take necessary actions to <br />complete the Work in accordance with the Project schedule. <br /> <br />e. Assist in obtaining from Owner additional detans or information <br />when required at the job site for proper execution of the work. <br /> <br />f. Give opinions and recommendations based on the Program <br />Manager's observations regarding defects or deficiencies in the <br />Contractor's work and relating to compliance with drawings, <br />specifications, and design concepts. <br /> <br />i g. Advise the Contractor or its superintendent immediately of the <br />commencement of any work requiring a shop drawing or sample <br />submission if the submission has not been accepted by the <br />Design Engineer. <br /> <br />h. Monitor changes of apparent integrity of the site (such as possible <br />differing subsurface and physical conditions, existing structures, <br />and site-related utilities when such utilities are exposed) r~sulting <br />from construction related activities. <br /> <br />I. Observe pertinent site conditions when the Contractor maintains <br />that differing subsurface and physical conditions have been <br />encountered, and document actual site conditions. <br /> <br /> <br />A-15 <br />
