<br /> , 76A- <br /> -2- <br />(4) Section 502.5 is amended by adding the following subsection: <br /> 502.5,3 It is unlawful to use an outdoor grill, bar-b-que or other <br /> outdoor cooking appliance on the premises of a residential building <br /> with three or more dwelling units or of a multi-family residential <br /> building with two or more stories, This provision does not apply to the <br /> use of permanently mounted outdoor cooking devices located 10 or <br /> more feet from any structure, <br />(5) Subsection 602.5.1 is amended to read as follows: <br /> It is unlawful to place or keep any fence, growth, solid waste or other <br /> material within 5 feet of any fire hydrant or in any other manner hinder <br />< < the fire department from having immediate access to a fire hydrant. <br />(6) Subsection 602.6.1 is amended to read as follows: <br /> 602.6.1 Every building shall be accessible to fire department <br /> apparatus by way of access roadways with all-weather driving <br /> surfaces of not less than 20 ft (6,1 m) of unobstructed width, with <br /> adequate roadway turning radius capable of supþorting the imposed <br /> loads of fire apparatus and having a minimum vertical clearance of 13 <br /> ft 6 in (4,1 m), During construction, when combustibles are brought <br /> onto the site in quantities deemed hazardou~ by the fire official, <br /> access roads and a suitable temporary supply of water acceptable to <br /> the fire department shall be provided and maintained. <br />(7) Section 602.6 is amended by adding the following subsection: <br /> 602,6.7 The marking configuration and location of fire zones and fire <br /> lanes on private property shall be as approved by the fire marshal <br /> under the following criteria: < <br /> (a) Curbs shall be marked in red traffic paint with at least an 8 inch <br /> stroke. <br /> (b) Lane markers shall be marked in red traffic paint with at least <br /> a 6 inch stroke, <br /> (c) The terms "No Parking" and "Fire Lane" shall be written in <br /> white paint contrasting with the red background in 6 inch <br /> lettering with a 1/2 inch stroke at 10 feet alternating intervals. <br /> (d) Fire hydrants must have a clearance zone marked at least 15 <br /> feet on all sides in the same manner described in (a) and (c) <br /> above. <br /> 602.6.8 Parking in or obstructing fire zones or fire lanes, <br /> except by permit issued by the fire marshal is prohibited at all <br /> times, <br />. 602,6,9 The fire chíef, fire marshal, their designees, building <br /> inspectors and all law enforcement officers are authorized to <br /> enforce the provisions of section 602.6, <br />
