! 7¡'Ø -3- (8) Section 603.17 is amended by adding the following: Numbers shall be a minimum of 6 inches in height for commercial occupancies and 3 inches in height for residential occupancies, Numbers shall clearly contrast with the background to which they are affixed, -~ Sec. 10-42. Motor vehicle parking. It is unlawful to store, park, or stand a motor vehicle inside a residential unit, a storage facility attached to a residential unit, or a stairwell, or under a stairway or a balcony, on premises of a multi-family dwelling, Sec. 10-43. Establishment of motor vehicle routes for transportation of hazardous chemicals. The U,S, Department of Transportation regulations referenced in Chapter 22 of the fire prevention code shall be followed except that tank vehicles transporting gasoline and other flammable liquids to serviCe stations may take the shortest route to the station served, Sec. 10-44. New materials. processes or occupancies which may require a permit. The city manager, the fire chief and the fire marshal may act as a committee to determine and specify, after giving affected persons an opportunity to be heard, any new materials, processes o~ occupancies which will require permits in addition to those described in the fire pevention code. The fire marshal will post a list of any such permit requirements in a conspicuous place in his office and distribute copies to interested persons. SECTION 2, That if any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance is held to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions of this ordinance shall remain in effect as if the unconstitutional or invalid portion had not been adopted. . . SECTION 3. That all ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That any person violating any provision of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be subject to the penalty provided in Section 1-5 of the San Marcos Code of Ordinances. SECTION 5, That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) days from and after its passage, and it shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the area as I required by the Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas. ! !
