Standards for alarm protective services and alarm system <br /> operation. <br /> (a) 'The police and fire chiefs may set reasonable standards and <br /> procedures to be followed by an alarm protective service when giving notice to <br /> the police or fire departments of activation of an alarm system, The standards <br /> and procedures will be set out in writing and made available to any alarm <br /> protective service requesting them. . <br /> (b) It is unlawful for a person to operate or cause to be operated an <br /> automatic dialing device leading to the communications center of the police or <br /> fire departments. <br /> (c) All alarm systems which emit an audible sound shall have a ten-minute <br /> automatic shut-off of the audible sound. <br /> Sec. 16-56 through 16-59. Reserved. <br /> ARTICLE IV. CLEAN AIR AREAS. . <br /> Sec. 16-60. Definitions. <br /> In this article: <br /> (a) Clean Air Area includes but is not limited to the entire enclosed <br /> indoor area of the following: <br /> (1) Public meeting room? and common areas of buildings under <br /> the control of the city, county, or other governmental agency; <br /> (2) Public meeting rooms; <br /> (3) Public areas of grocery stores and other retail stores; <br /> (4) Meeting rooms and public areas of hotels and motels; <br /> (5) Meeting rooms and common areas of nursing and <br /> convalescent homes; <br /> (6) Classrooms, bedrooms and common areas of child care <br /> facilities; and <br /> (7) Public areas and common areas of child care facilities. <br /> Clean air area also includes all enclosed indoor areas of the following <br /> which have not been designated as smoking areas under Section 16- <br /> 62: <br /> (1) Public offices in buildings under the control of the city, county, <br /> or other governmental agency; <br /> (2) Office, warèhouse and storage areas in grocery stores and <br /> other retail stores; <br /> (3) Areas of places of employment that are not open to the public; <br /> (4) Bowling centèrs; <br />
