<br /> ( 71 (ì <br /> -5- <br />(b) The bill of sale is conditional and the title of the buyer is not absolute <br />unless the property is not redeemed under Section 16-25 within 30 days after the <br />sale, <br />Sec. 16-29. Disposition of sale proceeds from impounded property. <br />From the proceeds of the sale of abandoned personal property, the city will <br />deduct the amounts of fees due under Section 16-24, Any remainder from the <br />proceeds will be held for the owner of the property or entitled lienholder for 90 <br />days and, if not claimed, shall be deposited in the general fund of the city. <br />Sec. 1,6:-30. Impoundment record. <br />The chief of police or a designee will keep a record containing a description <br />of all impounded property; the date and time of the impounding; the date notices <br />of sale were posted and published, or mailed to owners and lienholders; certified <br />notices and return receipts; the date of the sale; the sale amount for each article <br />at the sale; the amount of fees to which the city or impoundment agency is <br />entitled under Section 16-24; the names and addresses of the owners and <br />lienholders, if known; the name and address of the buyer; and any other <br />information the city manager may deem necessary. <br />Sec. 16-31 through 16-32. Reserved. <br /> Division 2. Junked Vehicles. <br />Sec. 16-33. Definitions. <br />In this division: <br />(1) Antique auto means a passenger car or truck that is at least 35 years <br /> old. <br />(2) Collector means the owner of one or more antique or special interest <br /> vehicles who collects, purchases, acquires, trades, or disposes of <br /> special interest or antiql)e vehicles. or parts of them for personal use in <br /> order to restore, preserve, and maintain an antique or special interest <br /> vèhicle for historic interest. <br />(3) Junked vehicle means a motor vehicle <br /> <br /> (A) that is inoperative; and <br /> (B) that does not have lawfully affixed to it either an unexpired <br /> license plate or a valid. motor vehicle safety inspection <br /> certificate, that is wrecked, dismantled, partially dismantled, or <br />! discardèd, or that remain? inoperable for a continuous period <br /> of more than 45 days. <br />(4) Motor vehicle meé;lns a motor vehicle that is subject to registration <br /> under the State Certificate of Title Act. <br />(5) Nuisance vehicle is a vehicle that is a public nuisance under Section <br /> 16-34 below. <br />
