1'113
9. The condition of the single level brick building appears to be in
better condition than the two story structure. Still, this
building has had heavy wear and usage. The electrical system
and toilets do not meet current building codes and, therefore,
render the building unsafe and unsanitary at this time;
.--- 10. Electrical service connected to the accessory structure (located
betwe~n the two main structures) is dangerous and in a state
of disrepair. The outdated equipment must be completely
replaced and brought up to code before the building can be
declared habitable;
11. The basement of the main building has water seepage and the
presence of standing water;
12. Emergency egress from the basement is inadequate.
Overall the structures are deteriorating due to neglect. and exposure
to the elements. As they exist, the buildings are not considered safe
due to the numerous code violation that exist. If left unattended, it
is my opinion that the deterioration will accelerate and result in
futher damage to the structures.
Jim Parris
Building Official - City of San Marcos
