PHYSICAL SPACE
The space required is dependent upon the shape of the room and clearances
needed in front of existing electrical panels and other existing
equipment. The figure stated is an average and is intended to be used for
estimating purposes only. The exact floor plan must be drawn by WilTel
Engineering before a firm room dimension can be specified. (A general
starting point is 6' x 8').
CDR Processors can be located in the Equipment Room; however, it is
usually more convenient to the operator to ~ocate this in an office.
This equipment will sit on a 24 inch by 48 inch table. Additional space
will be needed if the processor is to reside in the Equipment Room.
The preliminary room size needed for the proposed equ~ment is 10 X 17.
Space can be saved in the Equipment Room by placing the Batteries (if
provided) in another room. This room should be 100 feet or less from the
Equipment Room. The ideal temperature for batteries is 77"F.
The switch room floor should not be carpeted or have an unsealed cement
surface. No activities should be undertaken in the switch room which may
generate dust. There should be no storage of articles within the space as
to obstruct airflow into and out of the switch room. Care should be
exercised at all times not to obstruct air flow in and around the switch.
The floor must be capable of supporting minimum bearing loading of 128
lbs/sq. ft. Special loading considerations may be required when batteries
and rectifier equipment are to be ïnstalled. The room should also be
subject to minimum vibrations (less than 0.5 g at 400 HZ).
Ceiling height should be a minimum of 8 feet.
B. ENVIRONMENT
SL-l Set (QSU60) OaF to 86°F, 20 - 80% RH
SL-l Cabinets OaF to 77°F, 20 to 80% RH Absolute Limits
59°F to 72°F, 20 to 55% RH Recommended
Dust density should be Zone 4 (0.00014 g/m3) or better.
Average residential dust density is Zone 3 (.00030 g/m3).
The room must be well lit and meet security requirements.
Customer: ¡4;~ e
Revised 9/24/94 Page 1 of 10 WilTel: CA~!
