(19AIA WlLTEL C. ELECTRICAL The Equipment Room must have a dedicated 208 Volt, 3 phase service panel. The panel is to be mounted in the Equipment Room and should serve only telecommunications equipment. Lights and other non-telecommunications equipment cannot be served out of this panel. This panel should also have an isolated ground bus and isolated neutral bus. The panel feeder cable should be sized to meet or exceed the maximum current draw specified below. DC Rectifier -1- x 12 A = -2lL Expected Current in Feeder 60 Amps D. QUALITY OF POWER It is the Customer's responsibility to provide clean, sFeady state power. Since the power is usually provided by a common power source (the utility company) which is shared by noise and impulse generating motors and relays, a means must be provided to insure that unclean power does not enter the telecommunications equipment. A power line conditioner is the most common way of providing clean power. Telecommunications equipment requires a constant low impedance source which limits normal mode noise to less than 10 volts and common mode noise to less than 0.5 volts. In addition the conditioner must meet IEEE standard 587. A conditioner meeting these specifications is manufactured by ONEAC Corporation. WilTel requires, as a condition of the warranty agreement, that all telecommunications equipment supplied or connected to the system have a separate or common Conditioner in-line with the power source. E. GROUNDING A Dedicated Isolated Ground Bus Bar is required in the SL-l AC service panel (also called sub-panel). This isolated ground bus must be connected to the Building Electrical Earth Ground Reference.
