Regular Meeting May 15, 2007 Page 2 <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration adoption or direction to Staff <br />on matters discussed in Executive Session. Mr. O'Leary stated the Council <br />received an economic development report. He stated the Council also <br />received an update and provided direction regarding Project Engineer, <br />Project Jeremiah, Project Ribbon and Hunter Road Area. He stated the <br />Council will continue the discussion on economic development report after <br />the Regular Meeting. <br />Reverend Samuel Montoya of Sini Penacostal Church lead the Invocation. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced the <br />to speak. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced the <br />in contact with LCRA, who is <br />LCRA is putting together a t <br />Worth. Encourage you to talk <br />to the teachers. 3) Ms. Couch stated she read the newsletter from the <br />Food Bank, and she thanked those who put it together. She also thanked Ms. <br />Soto for volunteering over 4000 hours. 4) Mr. Bose stated he attended the <br />2007 Neighborhood Planning Conference on Saturday, May 5, 2007. He stated <br />the speakers showed how they develop their City Associations. 5) Mr. Bose <br />stated he attended the tour of the New High School on Sunday, May 6th. He <br />stated he feels this is a great school with the design and the set up. 6) <br />Mr. Bose stated on Thursday, May 10th he attended an event at the Women's <br />Center. 7) Mr. Bose encouraged the citizens to attend the Texas Natural and <br />Western Swing Fest on May 19, 2007. 8) Mr. Knight encouraged the Council to <br />attend the Hays County United Way Banquet on Thursday June 7, 2007. 9) Mr. <br />Knight Congratulated all High School and Texas State University graduates. <br />10) Mr. Guerrero congratulated all the Teachers of the Year and the San <br />Marcos Education Foundation. He stated the San Marcos Education Foundation <br />works hard on the academic recognition event and the grants they provide to <br />teachers. 11) Mr. Guerrero stated he attended the Cinco de Mayo at Hays <br />County Civic Center on May 5th. He stated he participated in judging the <br />menudo and for Little Miss Cinco de Mayo. 12) Ms. Robertson stated she also <br />attended the same conference as Mr. Bose. 13) Ms. Robertson stated she <br />attended the employee recognition awards. She thanked those employees for <br />their dedicated service. 14) Ms. Robertson stated she also attended the <br />Women's Center event. 15) Ms. Robertson stated she attended the tour of th <br />new High School and she enjoyed the tour. 16) Ms. Robertson stated she <br />attended the kickoff for the Family Justice Center on Monday, May 14th.
