The Council adjourned into Executive Session at <br />6:03 p.m. <br />Mayor Narvaiz announced the Council would reconvene at 6:59 p.m. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration adoption or direction to Staff <br />on matters discussed in Executive Session. Mr. O'Leary stated the Council <br />received an economic development update and provided direction regarding <br />Project Engineer, and Posey Road area. He stated the Council will continue <br />the Executive Session after the Regular Meeting. <br />Pastor Robin Steel of the Promiseland Church lead the Invocation. <br />Mayor Narvaiz led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Mayor Narvaiz presented Ms. Figols with an award from Economic Central <br />Texas for their participation of redevelopment in downtown. Mayor Narvaiz <br />also presented Mr. O'Leary and Laurie Anderson with a print from an Austin <br />artist. They received this award from the Economic Central Texas for being <br />a finalist for the transformation of Rio Vista Dam. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced the Citizen Comment Period. 1) Camille Phillips <br />stated she is a member of the Craddock Committee. She stated the <br />committee has been meeting since November regarding a Craddock Park, which <br />is over 10 acres. She stated the Craddock Park would provide many <br />opportunities for the City. 2) Patrick Kirwin stated he is the Chair of <br />Beautification Commission. He stated his vision of San Marcos is to be a <br />place with visual quality and environmentally friendly. He stated the <br />Commission has been working with staff liaisons on various projects. He <br />encouraged the Council to review the budget they submitted for funding for <br />new projects. 3) Bruce King stated he is a member of the AirEvac Life <br />Team. He stated he works with first responders, which flies into the <br />closest hospitals. He stated he makes 30 -35 flights a month. He encouraged <br />the citizens to participate and make a donation to become a household <br />AirEvac Member. 4) Maria Elena Gonzales stated she is a county resident <br />who wants the factual truths about Hwy 123 and 110. She stated she is <br />concerned about the City's involvement in the new schools locations. She <br />stated she is also concerned with the road bond election failing and the <br />problems this causes. She stated she feels this is not the County <br />Commissioners' fault and they should not be blamed. 5) Dianne Wassenich <br />stated she is not against roads as quoted in the San Marcos Daily Record. <br />She stated she did not object to Wonder World extension even though it is <br />over the recharge zone, but she feels that all discussion regarding Loop <br />110 should be public discussions. <br />
