, '. 101 HISTORIC RESOURCES SURVEY AGREEMENT This AGREEMENT is made this the 27th day of June , 19~, between the CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, hereinafter referred to as 11 CITY", 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666, and RALPH NEWLAN, 1000B ALTA VISTA, AUSTIN, TEXAS 78704 and LILA KNIGHT, 135 PARK SOUTH DRIVE, KYLE , TEXAS 78640 hereinafter referred to as "CONSULTANTS", for the the performance of a historic resources survey of the Dunbar and East Guadalupe Street neighborhoods as part of the Certified Local Government Grant Program. This project will be partially funded with a grant from t the u.s. Department of the Interior, National Park Service, as ¡ administered by the Texas Historical Commission. WITNESSETH: CITY and CONSULTANTS agree as follows: ARTICLE 1 CONSULTANTS' SERVICES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1_0 STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE 1.0.1 The'CONSULTANTS will be responsible for the performance of a historic resources survey to include all pre-1950 buildings, structures, and objects within the Dunbar and East Guadalupe Street Neighborhoods of San Marcos (Attachment A) in accordance with the applicable grant guidelines, hereinafter referred to as the "Project". 1.0.2 The CONSULTANTS certify that all survey~ team personnel meet at least one of the five criteria specified in the u.s. Secretary of Interiors Standarqs for Professional Qualifications. Thesè specifications are' attached to and incorporated in this Agreement (Attachment B). 1.0.3 The CONSULTANTS will perform all services in connection with this Agreement using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by historic preservation consultants who possess special expertise in conducting historic resources surveys for cities. I \ 1.0.4 CONSULTANTS will accomplÜ;;h the Project in coordination -- with the CITY, a representative of the National Register Department of the Texas Historical Commission, and the San Marcos Historic Preservation Commission. CONSULTANTS will meet with CITY representatives as necessary throughout the duration of the Project at mutually convenient times. 1.0.5 CONSULTANTS will attend an orientation with the San Marcos Historic Preservation Commission and the National, Register Program staff of the Texas Historical Commission prior to commencement of this Project. 1.0.6 CONSULTANTS will be available for interviews with the media and interested groups and will present the survey findings to the City Council at one meeting of the San Marcos City Council to be determined by the CITY.
