<br />'. <br />~.~ TASK 1 - FIELD INVESTIGATION IO/~ <br />The CONSULTANTS will: <br />1.1.1 Identify all extant historic resource sites (commercial, <br />residential, or other) of cultural or historical significance in <br />the survey area by: <br /> (a) preservation priority (including contributing or <br /> non-contributing status); <br /> (b) location; <br /> (c) property type; <br /> (d) stylistic influence, if any; <br /> (e) approximate date of construction; <br /> (f) brief descriptions of the sites; <br /> (g) photographic references; and <br /> (h) site numbers. <br />1.1.2 Plot the location of each historic resource on a map. <br />1.1.3 Photograph each historic resource site with 35mm black <br />and white film (Plus-X-125, with 3 accompanying contact sheets) <br />and each high priority site with 35mm color slide film (Kodachrome <br />64, 3 slides for each black and white frame of the high: priority <br />sites) . <br />1.1.4 Evaluate each identified resource to determine a <br />preliminary assessment of low, medium and high priority sites. <br /> Compile all information and complete ~ Historic <br />1.1.5 approved <br />Inventory Mast~r List. . <br />1.1.6 Complete . survey cards for high priority properties, <br />indicating priority and contributing or non-contributing status <br />where applicable. <br />1.2 TASK 2 - RESEARCH <br /> The CONSULTANTS will: <br />1. 2.1 Review any previously p'ublished materials and survey <br />results, integrating the information into the Project. <br />1.2.2 Examine reference materials (Sanborn Fire Insurance <br />Maps, manuscript collections, primary and secondary sources in San <br />Marcos, state archives and other relevant archival collections) <br />and compile and record pertinent information. <br />1.2.3 Conduct oral interviews with residents who may have <br />important, unrecorded information on the history of the <br />neighborhoods. This effort will be accomplished with assistance <br />from members of the San Marcos Historic Preservation Commission <br />and the CITY. <br />1.3 TASK 3 - MATERIALS PREPARATION <br />
