IO7/)
INDIVIDUAL COMMISSION REPORTS
AIRPORT COMMISSION
Observations: Protocol was excellent. All commission members are
highly motivated to insure the very best interests of the City and
community are recommended to the City Council. Their duties are
of high importance in the expansion, management, and 'safety
I recommendations to the Council, along with FAA compliance and
I grant funding. Many members have made trips out of town at their
own expense in pursuit of Airport matters.
Sunset Recommendations: None.
CHARTER REVIEW COMMISSION
Observation: None, because this commission did not meet during
the review period. It meets for a six month period every two
years.
Sunset recommendation: None.
~
CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON THE MASTER PLAN
Observation: This is a Committee that was appointed to work on
the Master Plan. This Committee is a very viable and active
group. This is a single-purpose temporary committee that will be
dissolved once it makes its recommendations.
¡ Sunset recommendation: None.
CITY CEMETERY COMMISSION
Observation: One of the meetings attended was an observational
(viewing of new street signs) rather than formal meeting. The
members appear to be highly dedicated to the preservation and
maintenance of the City Cemetery. The formal meeting of May 24,
1995 was very well conducted. Very Professional. The Finance
Director presented a financial statement. He indicated that the
perpetual care balance was very low. Lots of options were
discussed to bring the balance up, with no conclusions.
Sunset Recommendation: Continue with the Commission. Commission
is doing a very good job.
~-~
