To be eligible for appointment, a person must be a resident of the City, over 25 years <br /> old, and must not have held a public office within the last three years. <br /> Typical Duties <br /> <br /> 8 Investigate and report on all matters relating to the enforcement and effect of Civil <br /> Service Law and Local Civil Service Rules. <br /> 8 Detennine if the Civil Service Law and Local Rules are being obeyed. <br /> ~ <br /> 8 Conduct hearings on appeals of disciplinary actions for fire fighters and police officers. <br /> Staff Support <br /> <br /> Director of Human Resources <br /> Time Commitment <br /> <br /> Members serve a three year tenn.
