<br /> I L( fl:þ <br /> Senior Citizen Advisory Board <br /> Purpose <br /> <br /> This Board acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council and City Manager in the <br /> development of programs that encourage the health, welfare and leisure time pursuits of senior <br /> citizens of San Marcos. The Senior Citizens program operates under the umbrella of <br /> Community Action, Inc. of Hays, Caldwell and Blanco Counties. <br /> Membership <br /> <br /> This board is composed of seven San Marcos citizens. <br /> Typical Duties - <br /> <br /> 8 The Board seeks to promote close cooperation between the City of San Marcos and all <br /> private citizens, institutions, and interested entities in senior citizens issues. <br /> 8 To see that all resources within the City and County may be coordinated to secure the <br /> greatest degree of public benefit. ~ <br /> 8 To be advocates for the elderly population in our area. <br /> Staff Support <br /> <br /> Executive Director of Community Action <br /> Time Commitment <br /> Members shall serve a two year term. This board meets on the second Tuesday of every <br /> month. <br /> Authority: City of San Marcos Resolution No. 1976-4-R <br /> 6/6/95 sunsr <br /> 2.25 <br />
