<br /> /1.//1& <br /> Sunset Advisory Commission <br /> Purpose <br /> <br /> The Sunset Advisory Commission serves as an advisory body to the City Council concerning <br /> whether a public need exists for continuation of City boards, commissions or committees. <br /> Membership <br /> <br /> This commission is composed of seven citizens of San Marcos. <br /> Typical Duties <br /> <br /> 8 Review functions, efficiency and effectiveness of San Marcos boards and commissions <br /> using infornlation from the city staff, from the boards and commissions, and from <br /> attendance at the board and commission meetings. <br /> 8 Submit a \\'Titten report to Council on its findings and recommendations on the <br /> continuation or abolition of City boards and commissions. <br /> ~ <br /> Staff Support <br /> <br /> City Attorney <br /> Time Commitment <br /> Every three years the Council appoints Sunset Advisory Commissioners for a one year tenn. <br /> They meet at least once a month during this period. . <br /> Authority: Code of Ordinances, Chapter 2, Article IX <br /> 6/6/95 sunset 1 <br /> 2.26 <br />
