The inventory process will begin in January 1995 <br />arrl be canp1eted within nine months. <br /> <br />MEIHOOOLOGX: <br /> <br />Hire a professionally qualified historic preservation con~tant witli <br />recent field ~xperience .to . conduct. historic resources stlrly. Consultant <br />will travel every p.lblic street within the designated study area, pooto- <br />graphing all historic resources, preparing sw:vey forms, mapping resa.rrces, <br />am producing a final report with reccmnerrlations for subsequent efforts. <br /> <br />ANTICIPATED RESULTS: <br /> <br />Project will result in prel.iminary infonnation gathered on all historic <br />resources in the CUnbar arrl East Guacialupe street NeighOOrhocxJs, facilitating <br />prese:rvation planning. This project supports the goals of the Historic <br />Preservation ccmnission and the city of San Marcos by increasing the docunented <br />inventory of Historic Resources and W'Orking toward their preservation. The <br />infonnation generated by this survey will also assist the CLG by ensuring <br />that carrnunity projects, such as the Gateway Merccrlo Project, arrl municipal <br />progrcrns, such as the Substandard Housing DEmolition ProgrCffi, are corrlucted in <br />h.aJ::rrony with the historical and cultural resources of the neighborlxxrls. <br />structures representing the cultural history of the neighborhocd.s will be <br />emphasized. <br /> <br />PROJECf PERSONNEL: <br /> <br />cnce notified of project approval, the CLG will issue a RFP for prof- <br />essional services.
