5. Invocation <br />The assembly recognized a moment of silence. <br />6. Pledges of Alle1jance - United States and Texas <br />Joe Barrientos, a 5th grade student at Hernandez Elementary, led the pledges. <br />7. 30 Minute Citizen Comment Period <br />Bobby Natal, 220 Ellis, owner of Natal's Wrecker Service spoke regarding the Wrecker <br />Ordinance and the deletion of the rotation schedule and the City contracting with one wrecker <br />service. He asked that the Council postpone this item and figure out a better way so that this <br />does not hurt business. <br />Anthony Rios, 145 Canvasback Cove, provided written comments regarding the Wrecker <br />Ordinance. <br />Barbara Carmona, 145 Canvasback Cove, provided written comments regarding the Wrecker <br />Ordinance. <br />Tommy Saucedo, 211 Grove St, owner of Saucedo's Wrecker service addressed the Council <br />regarding the Wrecker Ordinance, the deletion of the rotation schedule, and the City contracting <br />with one wrecker service. He asked that the Council postpone this item and figure out a better <br />way so that this does not hurt business. Stated that the Sheriff's department makes this work and <br />that they feel they are being cut out. <br />Angel Garza I1, 1616 Miller Trace, works for Natal's Wrecker service and addressed the Council <br />regarding the Wrecker Ordinance, the deletion of the rotation schedule, and the City contracting <br />with one wrecker service. He stated that he had run the numbers and believes this will hurt the <br />businesses' bottom line. He stated that he felt that it is unjust for the Police Department to <br />lockout other small businesses in town. <br />Michael Kleinman, PO Box 13, No Show. <br />Jamiy Breihan, 134 Hillcrest, addressed a map regarding the overlay that would add student <br />housing in property owners backyards around the university. He feels that this would put more <br />students into the neighborhoods, and that expanding this would be a public safety issue. He <br />congratulated the candidates on their re- election. <br />Erin Wall, 955 Sycamore, asked the Council to reconsider amending the Junk Vehicle Ordinance <br />and stated that they have enough signatures to take this to an election. <br />Joe Ptak, 505 Patricia, addressed the Council regarding the Junk Vehicle Ordinance and asked <br />the City Council reconsider amending it. He also stated that they have enough signatures to take <br />this to an election. <br />
