ATTACHMENT "A" <br />persons on the Department maintained public distribution list in accordance with Subchapter 10 <br />of this Chapter. <br />Sub - Chapter 16 - Coordination with "911 " Addressing System <br />This subchapter shall govern the coordination required with the "911" Addressing System prior <br />to issuance of a Development Authorization by the County. <br />§16.01. Communication with County "911" Coordinator <br />Prior to submitting an Application, the Applicant or the Applicant's authorized agent is required <br />to contact the County "911" Coordinator to confirm the suitability of the naming and designation <br />of proposed roadways and to establish procedures for identifying the "911" addresses for the <br />subdivision. Applications for subdivisions must confirm the suitability of the name and <br />designations in conjunction with the Preliminary Plan. <br />§16.02. Additional Coordination <br />The County "911" Coordinator may require the Applicant to coordinate "911" addressing <br />information with the Hays County Sheriff, municipal police and fire departments, emergency <br />services districts (ESDs) and any other emergency response agencies authorized to operate in the <br />County whose response might be requested during an emergency. <br />§16.03. Approval Required <br />Prior to the issuance of a Development Authorization by the County, the Applicant shall submit <br />evidence of approval by the County "911" Coordinator for the following: <br />(A) The proposed names or designations for new roadways, shared access easements or <br />shared access driveways associated with any Application to the County for a <br />Development Authorization. The County "911" Coordinator is hereby authorized to <br />withhold approval of names or designations that the coordinator determines are very <br />similar to existing names or designations or which may otherwise contribute to confusion <br />in names or designations in a way that may hinder emergency response. <br />(1) When names or designations are allowed to change on a continuous street, street signs <br />must be placed in a clear and unambiguous manner, so as not the hinder emergency <br />response. <br />(B) If "911" addresses have not previously been established for the proposed development, in <br />conjunction with the final Development Authorization, the County shall establish a "911" <br />address for each lot or component of the development served by a Regulated Roadway, <br />shared access easement or shared access driveway associated with that development. If <br />the development plan includes multiple habitable structures located on the same lot (e.g. <br />a multi -unit residential housing unit, a Manufactured Home Rental Community, a multi- <br />unit commercial development, etc.), a "911" address shall be established for each <br />habitable structure. The "911" addresses shall be established by the County "911" <br />Coordinator. <br />
