The Chamber will ensure that the mission of the Hispanic Chamber under the <br /> contract is to serve as a connection to local, national, and international Hispanic markets <br /> to promote the City of San Marcos as a prime tourist destination. The Chamber will ensure <br /> that the Hispanic Chamber accomplishes this mission through the following activities under <br /> the contract: <br /> 1. Coordination and support of special cultural events that target the Hispanic <br /> market. <br /> . ' <br /> 2. Provide the Hispanic market access to information on all community events. <br /> 3, Maintain a full-time staff to assist in coordination of activities with CVB, <br /> 4. Utilize the Texas Business Center and the Internet to promote the City of <br /> San Marcos to the Hispanic market. ' <br /> . <br /> The contract will provide for the Chamber to pay $10,000 to the Hispanic Chamber on <br /> November 3,1995, and $10,000 on May 3 ~996. <br /> 3. <br /> CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU BOARD <br /> A. A Convention and Visitors Bureau Board (the "Board") consisting of eleven (11) <br /> members, including a chairperson, is constituted to advise and provide oversight for the <br /> Chamber's performance under this Agreement. The chairperson of the Board shall be a <br /> non-voting member of the Board except, if the chairperson's vote is necessary to determine <br /> the outcome of a vote among the quorum present at a meeting of the Board, the <br /> chairperson may vote. <br /> B. The Board shall be responsible for advising the Chamber in the formulation of <br />
