In addition, the ENGINEER will perform all of the Basic Services described <br /> in Sections 1,2 and 1.3 for a separate construction contract for the CITY's main pumping <br /> station/transfer main/flow equalization basin improvements project under this Agreement; <br /> the ENGINEER may be requested to provided the Basic Services described in Sections <br /> 1.4 through 1.6 for this project under an amendment to this Agreement. <br /> . <br /> 1.2 BASIC SERVICES PHASE 1 - PROJECT MANAGEMENT <br /> General Administration <br /> 1.2,1 Assemble a Project Team comprised of the City's representative(s), the ENGINEER, <br /> the Construction Manager ("CM"), the ENGINEER's design team, and a firm <br /> representative fr.om each major consulting discipline, <br /> 1.2,2 Perform general administrative duties associated with the Project during the <br /> prelim inary and design phases, including progress monitoring, scheduling, general <br /> correspondence, office administration, and invoicing, <br /> 1,2.3 Maintain day-to-day contact and liaison with the CITY's representative(s), the CM <br /> and Project Team representatives. . <br /> 1.2.4 Ensure that the CITY's needs are met in a timely manner, <br /> 1.2,5 Provide Project communication; monitor work on the Project; and ensure that the <br /> work is executed in accordance with the work plan, within budget, and on schedule, <br /> Meetings and Workshops <br /> 1.2,6 Participate in the following meetings and conduct workshops to review progress and <br /> facilitate the exchange of ideas and information during the preliminary and final design <br /> phases: <br /> (a) Project initiation meeting with the Project Team representatives to <br /> discuss the scope and objectives of the Project, to set the design and <br /> production schedule and parameters for all subsequent work, to vE?rify <br /> the components within which all Project participants must perform, <br /> and to identify all parties and significant deadlines involved in the <br /> comprehensive schedule strategy. Based on this information, the <br /> ENGINEER will prepare a detailed schedule of its work for the Project <br /> addressing each component of the work to be done, indicating the <br /> points of involvement of all Project participants to clarify the CITY's <br /> and the CM's requirements for the Project; review available data, <br /> Project organization and staffing, and establish lines of <br />
