Prepare a Notice of Award for the City to issue to the <br /> contractor upon award of the contract by the City with instructions for <br /> execution of the contract documents. Assi st the City in reviewing <br /> executed documents and bonds for conformance with the requirements of <br /> construction contract documents. Assist the City in reviewing <br /> certificates of insurance for compl i ance with constructi on contract <br /> documents. Forward documents to the City with a recommendation for <br /> execution and distribution of documents. <br /> 5.02 Construction Contract Administration <br /> Provide the following full-time, on-site resident representation services <br /> for each construction project, to observe the work in progress to determine <br /> if the comp 1 eted work wi 11 comp 1 y wi th the contract documents, provi de <br /> field administration of the construction contracts and determine that the <br /> quality control programs of the contractors are producing acceptable <br /> results. The Construction Manager will not have control or charge of and <br /> wi 11 not be responsible for construction means, methods, techniques, <br /> sequences or procedures, or for safety precautions and programs in <br /> connecti on with the work, for the acts or omissions of the contractor, <br /> subcontractors or any other persons performing any of the work, or for the <br /> failure of any of them to ca rry out the work in accordance with the <br /> construction contract documents unless such acts or omissions are due to <br /> the negligence of the Construction Manager or are acts or omissions under <br /> the Construction Manager1s control. However, Constructi on Manager wi 11 <br /> exercise its authority on behalf of CITY during the construction phase so <br /> that all work performed by the contractor results in a project completed in <br /> accordance with the construction contract documents, and during any phase <br /> should the Construction Manager become aware of the contractor's <br /> utilization of means, methods, techniques, sequences and/or procedures of <br /> construction which, in Construction Manager's opinion, will not result in <br /> completion of the project in accordance wi th the construction contract <br /> documents or which are unsafe~ Construction Manager will immediately inform <br /> the CITY and will take all necessary a~tion which the Construction Manager <br /> is authorized under this Agreement to take to correct the matter. In such <br /> situations, the Construction Manager will have the right and power with the <br /> concurrence of the CITY, to lmmedi ately cease the work by contractor on the <br /> project. The on-site construction manager wi 11 serve as project <br /> faci 1 i tator, coordinating the flow of information between the Design <br /> Consultants, the City, and contractors. On-site clerical/technical support <br /> will be provided. Typical services will include: <br /> a. Attend pre-construction conferences with the City, Design Consultant <br /> and construction contractor's key personnel.
