<br />. I~ð <br /> c. Specific Conductance will be measured during sampling. <br /> d. The Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission will <br />analyze split samples in June 1994 for PCBs and if detected, <br />again in December 1994. If PCBs are detected in June 1994 and <br />confirmed in December 1994, subsequent quarterly sampies will be <br />analyzed for PCBs by the City of San Marcos. <br />9. Perform sampling according to the following schedule: <br /> i <br /> a. June and December 1994. <br /> b. March, June, September, and December 1995. <br />10. The estimated cost of sampling is $21,000, which includes <br />the private well. The cost of sampling wells is estimated to be <br />$3,500 per sampling event. The costs of four sampling events <br />will be equally divided among the Potentially Responsible <br />Parties. The Corps of Engineers will pay the cost of two of the <br />1995 sampling events (estimated at $7,000). The estimated cost <br />for the carbon whole-house filters is $1,000 per unit with a <br />total cost of $7,000. The cost will be equally divided among the <br />Potentially Responsible Parties. Th@ City of San Marcos will pay <br />the estimated cost of $60,000 for regrading the surface of the <br />landfill site. The City of San Marcos will remove the monitoring <br />wells. The Corps of Engineers will reimburse the City of San <br />Marcos for actual cost up to $7,500. The Corps of Engineers will <br />install up to three wells at an estimated cost of $2,500 per <br />well. The City of San Marcos and the Department of Labor's other <br />obligations are reflected in the agreed resolutions. <br /> , <br />11. Upon completion of sampling, but not later than April 30, <br />1996, Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission will meet <br />with the other parties and make a determination whether Phase I <br />was effective in solving migration of contamination, and if <br />further action is necessary. The determination will be based on <br />1993 MCLs and will consider trends in values of chemical <br />constituents and their relationships to risk to human health. <br />12. If Phase I is effective, then monitoring will be terminated <br />and monitoring wells will be removed by the City of San Marcos. <br /> 3 <br />
