Building sewer means a sewer conveying wastewater from the premises of a user's treatment <br />facility. <br /> <br />Bypass means the intentional diversion of a waste stream that contains prohibited waste from a <br />wastewater treatment system to the POTW. <br /> <br />Categorical industrial user means an industrial user subject to Categorical Standards as <br />established by the U.S. Enviromnental Protection Agency and defined in 40 CFR Chapter i, <br />Subchapter N, Parts 405 - 471. <br /> <br />Categorical standards means national categorical pretreatment standards or pretreatment <br />standard. Any regulation containing pollutant discharge limits promulgated by the EPA in <br />accordance with section 307(b) and (c) of the Act that applies to a specific category of industrial <br />user. <br /> <br />Cease and desist order means an admirfistrative order directing an industrial user to immediately <br />halt illegal or unattthorized discharges. <br /> <br />Certification statement means the statement as defined in 40 CFR 403.6(a)(2)(ii) required by the <br />TCEQ to be included with all periodic compliance reports and signed as defined in 40 CFR <br />403.12(i). The statement is as follows: <br /> <br />I cetXify trader penalty of law that this docmnent and all attachments were prepared trader my <br />direction or supervision in accordance with a system designed to assure that qualified <br />personnel preperly gather and evaluate the information submitted. Based on my inquiry oftbe <br />person or persons who manage the system, or those persons directly responsible for gathering <br />the information, the information is to the best of my kmowledge and belief, true, accurate, emd <br />complete. I am aware that there are significant penalties for submitting false information, <br />including the possibility of fine and imprisolm~eut for knowing violations. <br /> <br />CFR means the Code of Federal Regulations. <br /> <br />City means the City of San Marcos, Texas, or any authorized person acting in its behalf. <br /> <br />COD (chemical oxygen demand) means the measure of the oxygen-consuming capacity of <br />inorganic and organic matter present in water, sewage, industrial waste or other liquid as <br />determined by a method approved in 40 CFR 136 expressed as milligrams per liter (mg/l). <br /> <br />Comm inutedgarbage means garbage that has been slu'edded into particles less than one-half inch <br />in diameter and can be carried freely under the flow conditions normally prevailing in sanitary <br />sewers. <br /> <br />Composite sample means a sample that results from a combination of individual wastewater <br />samples taken at selected intervals based on an increment of either flow or time, manually or <br />automatically, discreetly or continuously as defined in Appendix E of 40 CFR Part 403 - <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br /> <br />
