Indirect discharge means the introduction of pollutants from any nondomestic source regulated <br />under section 307(b), (c) or (d) of the act into the POTW (including holding tank waste discharge <br />into the system). <br /> <br />Industrial user or user means a source of indirect discharge. <br /> <br />Industrial waste means any amount of liquid waste and waterborne liquid, gaseous and solid <br />substances discharged or disposed of from any industrial, manufacturing, trade or commercial <br />establishment including nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies or business activities <br />or educational institutions. It shall not include sewage discharge fi'om sanitary conven/ences on <br />the premises unless the sewage is commingled with industrial waste. <br /> <br />Industrial wastel~ermit means a per,nit to deposit or discharge industrial waste into the sanitary <br />sewer. The permit charge is to cover the cost to issue the permit and to inspect the facility. This <br />permit does not grant a waiver to allow discharge of any wastes that exceed the limits or violate <br />the requirements of this division. <br /> <br />Interference means a discharge which, alone or in conjunction with other sources, both: <br /> <br /> (I) inhibits or disrupts the POTW, its treatment processes or operations or its sludge <br />processes, use, or disposal; and <br /> <br /> (2) causes a violation of the NPDES or the TPDES permits, including an increase in the <br />magnitude or duration of a violation, or prevents sewage sludge use or disposal in compliance <br />with the applicable federal, state, or local regulation. <br /> <br />MSDS means material safety data sheets. <br /> <br />National pretreatment standard, i~retreatment standard or standard mear~s m~y regulations <br />containing pollutant discharge limits promulgated by the approval artthority in accordance with <br />section 307(b) and (c) of the federal Clean Water Act, which applies to industrial users. This <br />term includes prohibited discharge limits established pursuant to 40 CFR 403.5 as amended. <br /> <br />New source means any building, structure, facility, or installation from which them is of may be <br />a discharge of pollutants, the construction of wl~ich commenced after the publication of proposed <br />pretreatment standards under section 307 (c) of the Act, which will be applicable to such source <br />if standards are thereafter promulgated in accordance with that section, subject to the conditions <br />of 40 CFR 403.3 (k) (1- 3). <br /> <br /> <br />
