<br /> , , 70ff <br /> -2- <br /> detailed schedule of its work for the Project addressing each <br /> component of the work to be done, indicating the points of <br /> involvement of all project participants. <br /> 1.1 TASK 1 - SITE SURVEY <br /> 1.1.1 The ENGINEER will conduct a site survey of the Project <br /> area to gather comprehensive data on the existing conditions of <br /> each block of the Project. <br /> , _. <br /> I 1.1.2 The ENGINEER will produce a base map(s) showing existing <br /> dimensions and elevations of the three blocks in the Project area <br /> ¡ <br /> including: <br /> (a) sidewalks widths and lengths; <br /> (b) elevations of all walks, curbs and door entrances; <br /> (c) the location of all building canopies overhanging <br /> sidewalks; and <br /> (d) the location of all visible features such as power <br /> poles, signs, fire plugs, valve covers, drainage inlets <br /> and similar features. <br /> 1.2 TASK 2 - PRELIMINARY DESIGN { <br /> 1.2.1 The CITY has provided the ENGINEER with a copy of a <br /> conceptual master plan prepared for the CITY for this Project <br /> which includes: <br /> (a) the replacement of existing sidewalk with new <br /> sidewalks of concrete with brick accent bands; <br /> (b) the addition of landscape islands on the end of <br /> each block; <br /> (c) restriping of parking spaces to include handicapped <br /> accessible parking on each block; <br /> (d) lighting improvements including the replacement of <br /> wooden posts with cast iron ornamental street <br /> lamps; <br /> (e) new curbs and limited drainage improvements; <br /> (f) limited landscape improvements including trees, <br /> tree grates and drip irrigation; and, <br /> (g) furniture and signage including but not limited to <br /> benches, kiosks, etc. <br /> 1. 2.2 The ENGINEER will utilize the master plan and all other <br /> relevant data to prepare preliminary design studies for the <br />
