<br /> 101 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 1994 - 139R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS RATIFYING THE SUBMISSION OF A <br /> NOMINATION FORM TO THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF <br /> TRANSPORTATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FROM THE STATEWIDE <br /> TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM FOR THE SAN <br /> MARCOS RIVER GATEWAY HIKE AND BIKE SYSTEM PROJECT¡ <br /> APPROVING THE CITY'S COMMITMENT OF MATCHING FUNDS <br /> FOR THE PROJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> , <br /> 1. On August 12, 1994 the City submitted a <br /> nomination form to the Texas Department of Transportation for <br /> grant funding for the San Marcos River Gateway Hike and Bike <br /> System Project (the II proj ect II) through the Statewide <br /> Transportation Enhancement Program provided for by the <br /> Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991 <br /> (II ISTEA"). ,~. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That the City ratifies the City Manager's <br /> execution and submission of a nomination form to the Texas <br /> Department of Transportation for grant funding .for the San <br /> Marcos River Gateway Hike and Bike System Project from the <br /> ISTEA Transportation Enhancement Program, a copy of which is <br /> attached to and incorporated in this resolution. <br /> PART 2. That the City's commitment of $402,000.00 in <br /> matching funds to the grant project lS approved, subject to <br /> applicable appropriation and CDBG funding allocations by the <br /> City Council. <br /> PART 3.
